A personal cookbook

The cookbook you’ll still be adding to in ten years.

Popolo brings the recipes scattered across your life — websites, screenshots, family cards, notes to yourself — into one beautiful personal cookbook you actually cook from.

Free to start · No newsletters · Yours to keep

01 · Capture

Recipes come from everywhere. Now they live somewhere.

Paste a link from a food site. Type in your mother’s lasagna from memory. Snap a photo of the index card in her handwriting. Popolo pulls each one onto the same clean page — ingredients, method, and a little room for your own notes in the margin.

02 · Organize

The meals you’ll come back to.

Weeknight dinners. Sunday lunches. What you cook when someone is sick. Group recipes the way you actually cook them, then hand a whole collection to someone in one link.

03 · Share

Recipes are better when they’re passed around.

One link. No account, no feed, no strangers. Send a single recipe to a friend, or hand a whole collection to the people who cook with you. Whatever they keep becomes a private copy in their own cookbook; the original stays yours.

04 · The Table

Set a Table for the people you cook with.

A Table is private, for people who already know one another. Everyone cooks in their own kitchen; the recipes, and everything learned along the way, stay together.

What used to scroll away in the group chat gets a lasting place. Any recipe can be kept as a private copy in your own cookbook.

05 · Preserve

A cookbook that grows with you.

The recipe your friend sent last summer. The one you finally got right. The collection you keep coming back to.

Recipes become meaningful because people make them meaningful. The ones worth keeping get cooked, changed, argued over, and passed along. Popolo keeps each recipe together with the notes, the names, and the occasions that gather around it.

In the margin

Margin notes stay with the recipe, for whoever cooks it next.

Why Popolo

Popolo is short for Del Popolo, a family name on our founder’s mother’s side.

It began with Vito, left on the steps of a church in Italy with no surname at all. The nuns gave him one: Del Popolo. Of the people. It fits what a cookbook turns out to be: recipes that come from people, and carry the people with them.
