Popolo is a free personal cookbook. These are the terms of using it — kept short so you can actually read them.
What Popolo is
A place to save the recipes you cook from, keep notes in the margin, and — if you like — share a Table with the people you cook with. Free to use, no ads, no tricks.
What you agree to
Use Popolo for cooking, not for anything unlawful or unkind. Don't try to break into other people's cookbooks. Don't upload things you don't have the right to keep — the odd recipe imported from a website is fine; wholesale copying of a cookbook is not.
What we agree to
Keep your recipes private by default, never sell your data, and let you take everything with you at any time. See our privacy page for the details.
Your recipes belong to you
Anything you write down in Popolo stays yours. We only need permission to store it and show it back to you (and to the people you share it with). Cancel anytime — you can download everything first, or delete it all.
No promises we can't keep
Popolo is provided as-is. We'll do our best to keep it running and your recipes safe, but we can't guarantee the service is never interrupted or that data is never lost. Keep your own copy of anything you can't bear to lose — the export option makes that easy.
Changes
If these terms change in a way that matters, we'll tell you. Continued use of Popolo means you're OK with the current version.
